Good morning CrossFit COMO!

May is a huge month for us and we have a lot of announcements.

Congrats Dylan!

A group of nearly 20 athletes headed to Chicago to watch Dylan participate in the CrossFit North Central Regionals. It was an amazing experience! Michael M. was a part of the medical team, Leisa D. was a part of the judges, and I, Mike, was a part of the Media team. Needless to say, CrossFit COMO was well represented at the event!

Benchmark/Goal Week!

If you looked at the Whiteboard for this week, you may have noticed a lot of benchmarks are listed. This is intentional! We’re in between our programing cycles and are checking in on our 2014 goals as well as performing a variety of CrossFit Benchmarks. If you haven’t set a goal for 2014, today is the day. Make your goal SMART(Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-Bound). We’ll have a couple of opportunities throughout the week to work on your goals during your normal WOD time.Benchmark Goal Week

Friday Night WOD

We’re hosting our next Friday Night WOD this Friday, May 16 at 7:00 pm. Details will be announced later this week, in preparation, this will be a partner WOD. 🙂

Saturday at the MKT Trail

We’re doing an outdoor WOD on the MKT Trail on Saturday, May 17 at 9:30 am. This will replace the 9am WOD at the box.

Who: CrossFit COMO athletes and bring a friend you like to run with or wants to try CrossFit
What: MKT WOD and Flat Branch for lunch and/or a beer
When: Saturday May 17th @ 9:30 am
Where: MKT Trail Head to Forum parking lot and back, movements required along the way. Distance scales are allowed. We will move up to Flat Branch afterwards for anyone who wants to grab lunch or a beer.
Why: Get outside and enjoy the day, get some good distance under your legs and introduce a friend to CF and the community by having some food afterwards.
Required items: wristwatch with a timer, your happy smiley faces and would love it if you all wore a CrossFit COMO shirt.

Nutrition Challenge begins Sunday

Our Nutrition Challenge begins this Sunday, May 18 at 3:30 pm at the box! If you cannot make it but still want to participate, make sure to register. More details are located at this link.

Memorial Day Murph

We’re hosting our annual Memorial Day Murph on Monday, May 26 at 9:00 am. This will be the only class of the day and we may have open gym afterwards. Last year 22 people joined us, we’re looking to double that number this year! We’ve partnered with The Murph Challenge to support the event. Learn more at this link.Memorial Day Murph
