COMO Barbell Club

The CrossFit COMO Barbell Club is an Olympic Weightlifting Club coached by Jordan Kroell, CSCS. Members of the club will focus on the two olympic lifts, the Clean & Jerk and Snatch.  Each athlete will participate in a custom program designed specifically for the class and tailored to the individual.

The goals of the Barbell Club is to improve technique, power, strength and speed in the two weightlifting movements.

Currently the barbell club is limited to only 7 athletes.


Meets Monday and Wednesdays at 7:30 pm (classes last 1-1:30 hours)


$55/month for current members of CrossFit COMO
$200/month for non-members (includes access to open gym and Sunday Oly Skills class)

About Jordan

Jordan has been coaching and competing in weightlifting since 2007, when he spent time at William Woods as an intern/trainer for many of the athletic programs. Jordan has a B.S. in Exercise Science and holds a NSCA CSCS.

In June 2014, Jordan’s and one of his athletes, Jackie Miller, attended in the Master’s Pan American Games in Toronto, ON. Jackie set three Pan American Record in her age group and three WORLD Records in her age and weight group.

Jordan has also coached a few other athletes including Brian Higginbotham, a 44 year old current National Champion in the 85kg weight class for 40-44 year old men. He snatched 114kg(251 lbs) and 147kg(324 lbs) in April 2014 in Shreveport, LA.

Dr. Pat Okker is head of the English Dept at Mizzou. She holds world records in powerlifting (not weightlifting) for her age and weight group. She can squat 70kg, bench press 55kg and can deadlift 112.5kg in the 50-55 year old age group. Pat weighs 53kg.
