Much to our collective exhaustion, the 14.4 Open WOD honored it’s title in length — a 14-minute AMRAP consisting of (for men):

  • 60-calorie row
  • 50 toes-to-bars
  • 40 wall-ball shots, 20 lb. to 10-foot target
  • 30 cleans, 135 lb.
  • 20 muscle-ups

And for women:

  • 60-calorie row
  • 50 toes-to-bars
  • 40 wall-ball shots, 14 lb. to 9-foot target
  • 30 cleans, 95 lb.
  • 20 muscle-ups

As if the physical resilience and general badass-itude displayed by tackling this WOD wasn’t evident enough, we have the numbers to prove it: Our box is ranked 98th after 14.4, and we placed 40th in 14.4. Considering we’ve been open for less than 1 year and most of our athletes are less than 6 months into CrossFit, we’re especially proud of those stats! Of course, these standings are always subject to change (and accordingly, we’ll always be aiming to improve them.)

Also, after 14.4, Coach Dylan Kelly is 20th in the North Central Region. Not only is that impressive in and of itself, it’s also an improvement from being ranked 23rd after 14.1. Way to push it and congrats, Dylan!

Additionally, Guest Trainer and son of CrossFit COMO Athlete Tamara Oberbeck, Doug Oberbeck is currently ranked in 33rd in the Latin American region. Way to go, Doug!
