I only made to 21 days. I left for vacation on the 22nd day. During vacation I ate and drank what I thought I wanted. The first night I drank beer and swelled up like a balloon. So I now know that I can’t drink beer. The second day I ate well and stayed away from alcohol. The third day I drank rum and consumed quite a bit of sugar. At the end of the day I ended up with a migraine. The fourth through the seventh day I noticed a huge drop in my energy level.
Before vacation I felt amazing and lost about 12 pounds. I have learned that I cannot deprive myself of sleep, exercise, or proper nutrition. I am on my second round of the 30 Day Nutrition Challenge to get myself back on track. Most importantly I have gained the confidence I needed to be able to pick myself up and start again. That alone makes it all worth it.
