In my family, we’ve always shared with why we are thankful during Thanksgiving. That’s a tradition that we are starting at CrossFit COMO. Our trainers wanted to share their thoughts with you this Thanksgiving. This is part of the CrossFit COMO tradition.
We have had so many amazing things happen at CrossFit COMO this year, a big move to a our new 4000 square foot location, introduction of CrossFit Kids, COMO Barbell Club and introducing Doug Oberbeck as our director of operations and head coach and so much more! What’s even more amazing is that we have a community of people who are dedicated to improving their lives one day a time. What I’m truly thankful for, is getting to know each of you and sharing this journey with you. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to have in my life and inspire me each and every day.
Here are a few thoughts from our amazing trainers.
Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your lives and allowing me to live a dream. – Dylan Kelly, Trainer
I’m thankful to be a part of such a motivated community. A community that drives others daily to not only be better indivdiually as an athlete but better as a person, parent or spouse. I am truly blessed and thankful to have such an amazing community of athletes that surround me. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your lives and allowing me to live a dream. – Dylan Kelly, Trainer
To my newly found CrossFit family:
This thanksgiving, I am beyond thankful to be able to be around such a resilient group of individuals on a daily basis. The unbelievable amount of gratification I experience when someone accomplishes their goal is the greatest feeling EVER! I have learned life is about reaching out and helping others in any way you can. I must say that I am blessed and fortunate to have been given the opportunity to be involved in the CrossFit COMO community. The best part of my day is when I am inside the box at CrossFit COMO (don’t tell my Fiance). Whether I am battling through a grueling, soul-crushing WOD or having a simple conversation with another member, there is no place I would rather spend my time. I am so thankful CrossFit COMO has welcomed me into the family. Thanks to everyone, the last three months have been truly amazing! Happy Turkey Day!! – Pat O’Hara, Trainer
I get to come to a place that immediately makes me feel alive, positive and like I´m making a difference
First of all – I am thankful to be living in the US again, closer to my family, and being able to speak English! (although it was an adjustment at first). I´m thankful for the opportunity that Mike gave me here at CrossFit COMO, to help lead this community, and to continue doing what I love – teaching people about fitness and sports. I´m extremely thankful for the great people here at the gym. Everybody has welcomed me with no hesitation, and everyone shows up with such a positive attitude, that it makes my job the easiest in the world. I´m thankful that, even when I wake up tired or grumpy, I get to come to a place that immediately makes me feel alive, positive and like I´m making a difference. As soon as you walk through the doors of CrossFit COMO, you are greeted by smiles, laughs, anxious looks before the workout, Taylor Swift Radio, people cheering, coaches yelling and I wouldn´t want it any other way! THANK YOU CROSSFIT COMO COMMUNITY!!! – Doug Oberbeck, Head Coach
“I’m tankful to be a part of community with the willpower to put forth the effort to better themselves. It’s a rare seen trait in a society that continues to grow ever softer and inept to self reliance.” – Nate Davenport, Trainer
I’m thankful for being a part of a community that doesn’t judge anyone regardless of their ability. It is truly inspiring to come to the gym everyday and seeing everyone pushing each other to be better than they were the day before. I had no idea almost 3 years ago when I did my first WOD that CrossFit would have such a positive impact on my life. I’ve meet so many amazing people that I wouldn’t have without CrossFit and for that I’m truly thankful. – Seth Lindenbusch, Trainer
I’m thankful for being able to share the the thing that keeps me sane & out of serious trouble with people who show a desire to learn & improve. It’s easier to get out of bed everyday when your occupation & your passion is the same thing. – Jordan Kroell, Head Coach COMO Barbell Club
Kim and I are so appreciative of the support that each and everyone of you have given us this year. We are truly blessed and thankful to have such an amazing community of athletes. Thank you for making this past year such an amazing experience.
